This year, our side of the family must cook at a reunion. I need help on what to cook.. Please remember we are on an extremely tight budget... We need ideas for Friday Supper - Sunday Lunch...(Sunday Lunch needs to be something like you would typically eat at a Sunday lunch, I have no idea, this is our first time having to cook for everyone!)

Oh..one more thing...It needs to be neutral foods, nothing exotic...THANKS
For example, burgers not exotic... Clams exotic
 
barbequed ribs. They are easy to make, just go to allrecipes.com and type it in the search engine. Its easy to prepare also takes around 4 hrs on low in the oven, they are nice and tender.
For a side i would go with mashed potatoes, just cook them in a large slow cooker.. so there will be plenty, and potatoes are farely cheep.. Then just do side salad to go along with the course.. It will make for a big affordable meal....

I also wouldnt really go for exotic becauce it gets expensive. Maybe a nice pineapple fruit salad
