She has been charged with public order offense and had to appear at magistrates court for a pre sentence review with her solicitor she pleaded not guilty the trial date was set .Her solicitor asked magistrates court for an Extension so the original trial date was cancelled .A date has now been fixed not for the trial but for another pre sentence review .why ? i mean is it the norm to have 2 pre sentence reviews ? i thought when the solicitor asked for the trial to be postponed because he wasn't ready to proceed the magistrates would give another date when the trial is to be heard .
can you have more than 1 pre sentence review (uk)?
