can you go to the apple store and track your ipod down with the serial number there?

i wanna no if u can ggo to the apple store and locate where ur ipod is cuz i had my ipod stolen at skool by a bech lol instead of the b word cuz the block it anyways name candace well thats what my friend said he said he found it and showed it to her and she took and ran with it saying she was keeping it idk what shes gonna do with she has a touch i just hope she doesnt sell it or destroy it ethier well yeah some one help plz
