Please, serious answers only!? Okay, this story is really stupid. I'm a 22 year old guy who lives in Kansas City have never broken any law or any criminal charges on me. Today I was supposed to have a christmas gift exchanges with my roomates, but few days earlier someone else stole it, so I went to walmart and stole a $7.50 T-Shirt for the gift exchange (Told y'all it was stupid) and I got busted. I freaked out about getting arrested because I'm not the jail type. I told them I promised it would never happen again and I wont touch that Walmart again. I was cooperative all the way with the cops. The cop just gave me a court date on December 30th and told me it was a misdemeanor and I wasnt arrested, they let me go. So this means if I show up for court, would I get arrested or fined or a diversion? Also, to note that I'm supposed to be moving in an new apartment on January 4th and I'll be going to College on Jan 19th, I already signed up for class and everything else, so I don't want this stupid mistake to stop me from going to school cuz I only got two semesters before I graduate. What should I say or do in court? How do I convice the Judge that I'm serious about this situation? This is a serious question, please give me a serious answer, thanks.
