All in all pretty good. You should put more focus on the child and maybe less on the background. There's just enough focus on the background to draw your eyes to it, and in this picture I really think you don't want to do that, the focus should be the kid. Very nice though.

Artistically speaking, your composition and lighting are done particularly well. Even the color of the kid's shirt compliments the ocean in the background.

The subject itself is cute. The off center position of the subject is attractive to the eye and represents positive use of diagonals. The shadow of the subject is visually distracting and the subjects face could use more illumination. Rotating the subject relative to the position of the sun could have provided a more positive result. The image and it's subject present a good humorous photo.
