For example, in Japanese culture men always walk first before women

Machismo in Latin cultures- women pregnant in the house, some Muslim cultures do not allow women to become educated, Italian: it's o.k, almost condoned for the men to have affairs and mistresses, etc.
 
Here in Belgium (Europe), women can study whatever they want, you will hardly find a job where a woman is not allowed. But... whatever the job, men will always get paid more for the same work.
