can you give me a little explanation on the ambiance's of a crown court?

It depends on the people waiting to stand and the case.
For example a murder case would give the crown court a volatile and electric atmosphere due to the nature of the evidence, the emotions of the family and usually the refusal to allow people to get their own justice. The court knows where it is and why its there.

The magistrates can be the same, but if you have people used to standing in front of it, its almost like being at a school assembly for the saddos.

as i already know, the crown and magistrate courts almost have the same function. But what worries me most is how to understand the the ambiance/atmosphere of the both courts.

The magistrate's court tries to give the impression that they
are really there to help, the crown courts are there to scare
the hell out of you and if it was left to them it would be the
death penalty for every crime committed
