Can you give me a list of misdemeanors or small crimes that require no jail time?

I'm writing a short story in which a person keeps committing these crimes because he absolutely LOVES this cop that comes to the scene all the time and arrests him. Anyway, I need crimes in which he doesn't get jail time or anything, because if he did, he couldn't see the cop anymore, and that makes for a sucky story. K...thanks
It's also a funny story...so the crimes can be a bit strange and funny also. As long as it isn't serious nor kills.

pretty much depends on the state in which you set your story! Go to that state's Secretary of State website, surely they'll have one, and search misdemeanor crimes. There's nothing like a thorough writer, they're the best! Or maybe write to John Grisham for help as a writer yourself, he is/was an attorney. Some writers really like that, some don't however! You take your chances!
