can you get pulled over for having music too loud in a car?

i heard you aren't supposed to be able to hear it 50 feet away but i'm not sure
 
Yes you can get pulled over for having loud music in the car, It is called noise invasion.
 
I seriously hope so. Apart from causing noise pollution and annoying everybody else, you're damaging your own hearing. No doubt, like the smokers you'll be wanting to sue the manufacturers of the product, instead of seeing it's your own foolishness that's caused the problem.
 
It depends on where you are. Noise ordinances vary wildly, and they're set by localities, not by state or federal governments.
 
I'm not certain if having loud music in your car is noise pollution. But if it ain't, the powers to be, must make a plan and make it a crime. For no other reason than to protect the eardrums of the man in the street. I don't want my kids to be deaf by 35. Which is happening, frightfully, fast.
