Can you get p.e. credits if you work as an aide for a physical education teacher?

I need 20 p.e. credits to pass high school, but I have bad knee problems that flare up when I do p.e. I mostly likely can't take adapted p.e. because it's mostly for kids with mental disabilities or those confined to a wheelchair. So... If I work as an aide for a p.e. teacher...can I get the credits I need?(: thankks,,
