Can you get introuble from running from the cops as a joke?

I've always woundered what would happen if you walked by a cop or a patrol car drives next to you and you make your self look suspcious and then run (even though you know you're not in trouble) just for the thrill to see if they chase you or not. lol I've always wanted to do that and i wasnt sure if you get in trouble or not cause its not resisting arrest because you dont have any charges on you. Just screwing around. :D

Ive done that. Fortunately the cop didnt look up in the tree. I did feel stupid because we were at a park playing ultimate frisbee at 1 AM.
 
Nah your fine till they tell you to stop running, you can run as long as you want if they dont tell you to stop, then if you dont your evading them or w.e
