Okay. Here's the story.
I bought a chopper instead of a proper bike a few years ago and i never rode it because it wouldn't go up hills. It was a complete waste of $450.00.
Anyway, now i'm selling it so i can get an actually rideable bike and for some reason, my dad is under the impression that you cannot ride BMX's up hills. He wants to get me a mountain bike and i don't like them because handbrakes confuse me and i'm likely to crash.
Also, he thinks that 20" wheels are too small.
So, can you get BMX bikes with gears to ride up hills and bigger wheels?
Any help is appreciated.

**Amending the question, can you get these things WITHOUT working on the bike? As in, can you buy them from the shop?
Plus, Dad just came in, read the question, and said "No, you're not listening to me. I didn't mean the wheels, they're just tiny bikes."
Im 5'0". Is that too tall for a 20" BMX?
