Hi HFers,

I was wondering if its possible to Flash phones (feature phones and smartphones)
without needing to enter a MIN & MDN. My reasoning is because I want the phones to be ready for customers preflashed so when they buy it, I can just do an ESN change for them, and they are ready to go.

Any input appreciated. :2thurabs:

Not very likely, for instance if you look at the Moto tutorial you need to write nv files with the MDN. Although I have had a couple BlackBerries that I flashed then the customer chose to program their own mdn/min after activation and they work just fine. But you will notice that most of the tutorial out here instruct you to enter the MDN/MIN.

Many Lg's like the EnVs and Chocolates will keep settings in after OTA and web and mms will work right after they are activated, but as far as your smart phones, whitey10tc is right you need to plug that stuff in afterworRAB. I know it kind of sucks but it's something our customers are gonna have to live with.

i have try this on a bb, i just set the spc to 6 0's and unlock the nam, activate the esn on cricket and dial *22804 and they have successfully program ota. no prl change or mdn min programing needed
also did on a android, most lg phones from verizon.

Yes that works for talk and text but not very often for WAP/MMS. Those setting need to be manually entered.
