Can you fit an HID bulb in a factory 2006 Lexus IS 250 halogen projector socket ?

I have a 2006 Lexus IS 250 and would like to purchase a Philips HID Conversion Kit. My current IS has the standard halogen headlights with the projector lamps. Will these new HID bulbs fit into my current IS' headlight lamp? I know that HID bulbs are bigger then halogens so I'm a little skeptical. But on the other hand the IS also is available with HID headlights and the lamps look exactly the same.
