Can you cook an avocado?

I make a green dip that has pureed avocado, green chilies ,sour cream and chicken stock (with other stuff but those are the main ingredients). I was thinking about using it as a enchilada sauce for some chicken enchiladas, will it cook fine ?
I've never cooked and avocado before so I don't know what happens to it. Anyone ever cooked one?
