can you compose a song on guitar pro using your midi instrument?

so what i want to know is if i can use my actual guitar thats connected to the computer through a gearbox tone port to write a song on the guitar pro like when you hit the note on the guitar itself does the guitar pro have a function that records that note into notation
if im not clear enough let say you play the first fret on the low e string. can the guitar pro write the tab out as you play on your guitar instead of doing it with a keyboard
