I was fired for calling in sick. First time ever. Never late, and did a GREAT job, but I got sick for a week and told my boss the first day about my illness ( Pneumonia) what was going on. I have a doctor's note for each day I was sick. I tried to go back, but they said they could not wait on me for a week. I have never been wrote up nor repremanded. This is not fair. I live in GA by the way.
Can you collect unemployment for being fired for absenses due to illness?
