can you build up a tolerance for penicillin?

agree with everyone else..you can build up a tolerance of anything....problem is....the higher the tolerance...the more it takes to work...the more it takes to work...the more dangerous it becomes for your body to consume...

You can't build up resistance to penicillin. However, the bugs that live in around your body can.

Penlac does not contain penicillin. It contains ciclopirox, which "may" have antifungal activity under some circumstances.

However, there is little evidence that nail varnish containing ciclopirox makes any difference to fungal nail infections.

It has tentative FDA approval. Painting it on your nails probably won't do you any harm. It remains to be seen whether it will help fix fungal nail infections.
 
If you are allergic to penicillin there are treatments you can get to desensitize you from it.

But Penlac is NOT penicillin. Penicillin encourages fungal growth by killing the friendly bacteria that keep fungi under control. Penlac is an anti fungal.
