Can You Believe It?! Shrek 4!

I didnt even know they were doing a 3rd film!

i realy loved the first one though...so hopefully the second one will be just as good

Yes I agree. Although the trailer does make it look good, it's just - I don't know - very different. I'd like to see Princess Fiona turn from an ogre to an acual person, she neeRAB to lose some weight as well! Has anyone read the books? What happens next..?

Hmm...I'm not the greatest fan of the new trend for on-going franchises in cinema; I think by the third film most of the jokes will have become stale - even the Shrek 2 trailer hints at the formula that the sequels will follow (Donkey says something along the lines of: "Me and Shrek, off on another whirlwind adventure").
You can't blame the studios for bleeding their cash cow dry, but let's just hope it doesn't stunt creativity in the process.

a good film should be left as that - a good film - theres no scarface 2, theres no pulp fiction 2 and theres a reason for that but movie companies prefer to stay with tihngs they know instead of trying something different - wait till the summer and see

A bad sequel doesn't ruin the original movie. There are plenty of films I pretend never had a sequel, and if Shrek 2 is bad, I'll just pretend it never happened and continue to love the first film as it is. :)

I mean in the sense that the studios seem to have a new thing of pre-approving popular movies several films in advance; the result of one film can all but guarentee the release of at least three sequels...

People, trust me, shrek 2 is funny !, in some areas it makes the first one look boring !!, and if Dreamworks keep up the good work, then Shrek 3 and 4 should be great too !
