Can you become a Financial Analyst if you were an Economics Major?

Hi everyone. I'm a student at Rutgers University and I am anticipating a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Finance. Even though it's a B.A., I've gotten good grades in my Calculus, General Engineering, and Statistics classes. Not sure if this is relevant, but my minor is Philosophy (ethics). I've taken multiple accounting courses and introductory finance courses, but the majority of courses I've taken are Economics. I'm searching for summer internships right now as a Financial Analyst and most of them require an Accounting/Finance/Related Field.

However, after applying to many of these, I've never gotten a reply, hence the question above.

In addition, I would like to obtain a CFA. Is it possible as an Economics major?

Thanks you so much in advance!
