Can you be discharged from the army for sleepwalking?

My boyfriend just left for his basic training yesterday and is at his base now. He has had a sleepwalking problem for about 5 years now but when he was filing out his paperwork his recruiter told him to lie about it. He has been getting up almost everynight for the past month. He talks so clearly it doesn't seem like he's sleeping. He has grabbed and tugged me a couple of times (it didn't hurt or anything just concerned me) and asked if i was alright and just trying to get me up out of bed. I wanted to know if he could be discharged for it and if he could get in trouble for lying about it. Please just knowledgable people about the army thanks
Also his uncle went down to the recruiter's office today and said something to them about telling him to lie about it don't know if that's important or not thanks
i dont find this to be a laughing matter.
