i had applied for a tv license online a few months back and two days later i had a knock at the door it was the tv license guy saying that i had no license i explained that i had set it up online and he said it had not gone through yet but he could do it there and then i done this and paid the first installment there and then and have been paying ever month by direct debit since. a few months later i received a court date from them and i pleaded guilty by post explaining everything to them in a letter and asked for as small fine as possible as i have no money! yesterday i received a letter saying i had received a fine of £600 and i have till tuesday to pay this! can i appeal at all or ask for extra time to pay?
can you appeal over a fine recieved from non payment of tv license?
