My understanding is that the beneficial flavonoids come directly from grape skin and not the actual alcohol. Now regular table grapes won't be the same of grapes of wine, due to the lower fructose index due to them not needed to be fermented. Looking at some of the oldest people in the world, their diets consist mainly of the freshest fruits and vegetables, and all meat, sugar, and alcohol is *strictly* avoided. I was just wondering if the health hype from wine stems from grapes alone and not the actual alcohol.
