Can Xanax give you hot flashes?

ok so i have never took medication b4 this is my first time being prescribed with some. i have been given Xanax for my anxiety and i took one last night i was very tried as well and b4 i went to bed i took one and aftr i took it i felt like i was getting hot flashes like my arm was warm...can Xanax give you hot flashes or is it just my anxiety doing that?

It's possible since every medication acts differently on each person. Personally It has never happened to me. Anxiety can definitely cause hot flashes, if you were anxious at the time it was probably anxiety. See if the same thing happens again next time you take it, if it does tell you doctor and he will probably prescribe you another benzo like Ativan or Klonopin.
