Can we switch to renewable energy?

I know we are slowly working on it but can we get the same amount of power from our renewable sources compared to the nonrenewable sources
 
In some cases, yes. But not all. Nothing cranks out megawatts like a big nuclear power plant. The same output from biomass would require a huge facility, and create a lot of pollution. Matching that power output with a solar plant would take up many square miles of space for the solar panels. And the cost of either option would be tremendous.

So while it's happening slowly, be happy its happening at all.
 
Yes you can. I have been buying a kilowatt of solar panels every year with my tax return. My electric bill keeps going down year after year. Nano solar (nanosolar.com) is going to put solar electricity in everyones reach.
