Can Verizon really be serious?

I just signed up with them 2 weeks ago and have gotten this txt that say"when sending a text over 160 characters to a non VW customer it will only send the first 160 characters"

I called and asked about it because surely they dont cap it off at 160 (especially when my phone allows me to write much much more) and she assured me it send it in multiple texts but i was still confused, so I called back again and was informed they ONLY sent 160 characters.


Seriously?? How are they a major provider and dont even let you send a over 160 char text? and the more confusing thing is why does my phone let me keep writing then?? (i have the new droid) I am thinking about dropping them because I think this is so dumb.
 
I know I have it on my phone also I have the alias. Anytime I try to send More than 160 it has to send it in more than one text. and when I send something from my phone to my email it says i cannot go over 160 characters - which doesn't make sense seeing that an message to ur email would hold more space...
 
because they're Verizon and think they can act like the ish (sshh*t.)they are just being stupid, see how many customers they lose.
