Can undocumented immigrants apply for financial aid?

Most people in the US are quite confused about this subject. Americans tend to believe illegal immigrants can somehow manage to receive the same benefits as American citizens or legal residents. This is simply not true.

Illegal immigrants DO NOT have the same benefits that Americans enjoy and abuse such as welfare, college financial aid, social security, etc.

Another myth is that illegal immigrant don't pay taxes. Well, illegal immigrant do PAY taxes since it isn't possible to work for an American company without paying taxes, even if you work with false documents.

Now, I believe ALL human beings in the US should receive benefits and have their rights protected equally. I believe the US is doing a POOR job at practicing what they preach.

Governments like Venezuela are actually setting the example of governments that protect the rights of the people without caring if they're "legal" or "illegal" .

Just look at all the answers above, most people ARE against other people and even have the guts to show their hatred on this site. What type of people are these?

I'm a student undergoing the first semester of community college. I've lived in the US for 16 years. (I'm 18) I'm planning to transfer to a university after a couple of semesters. I was wondering if undocumented immigrants can apply for financial aid because on the internet there aren't any clear answers. Do any of you guys know?
