Can u have an ipod after u finish boot camp in the navy?

Of course. You can have anything (legal) you want. Depending on what school you go to after boot camp, there may be some restrictions on when or where you can take it. Get the ipod.

I think the reason that you aren't supposed to have Ipods and such, is because the earbuds block off the sound around you, so you wouldnt be as able to hear sirens or commands given at random times. Boomboxes and such are ok because you can still hear what is going on around you. I assume that the answer is no, only because of safety reasons. ESPECIALLY since you are most likely going to be in the line of fire at some point.

not until you actually report to A school.. during the weekend after PiR you are still under Boot Camp restrictions.

Sure. But, if it gets lost or stolen, it is your responsibility. The Navy will not reimburse you for it.

Of course, it would have to be used while you are off-duty. You will not be allowed to stand in ranks at morning muster with it.
