Can TSP concentrated cleaner hurt my garden if I clean a statue with it?

Real TSP absolutely will harm plants, even TSP substitutes can still contain salts and other harmful agents. Really, the phosphates are the least of worries with the stuff.

TSP is still one of the best cleaners though, but remove the statue from the garden and do the work away from the plants. make sure runoff goes into the sewer and not the storm drains.
