Can too much Hydraulic fluid in my Dodge transmission cause total failure?

Dodgeman said take to shop have lost hydraulic pressure. Is having my fluid level too high a possible for lose of pressure in my 2001 dodge ram 2500 van automatic transmission. If Your still there Dodgeman could You further Your answer? I'am mechanically inclined retired 34 years as Machine repair mechanic. Thanks Chuck

As the transmission is vented, NO YOU WILL NOT BLOW THE SEALS!
But what will happen is that the high oil level causes..and I do mean HIGH, not 1/4" over F mark.
The fluid is whipped into a foam, yes, it does have anti foaming agents, the pump cannot pump effectively Foam and causes aeration or cavitation of the pump. Cavitation is small bubbles going through the pump body and that damages, over time the ability of the pump to produce pressure. Low pressure, the clutches do hot hold properly and begin to slip, leading to failure. The other affect of oil being whipped into foam is heat, and that can cause seal failures.
(Yes, I know a pump does not produce pressure, but using it here for explanation)

yes you can blow the seals in it and thats bad.
