Trust me.. you're not the first to send their rooted phone back for a replacement...

You already got the phone back to RC29, so I wouldn't worry.

Or you can look around for the official RC33 update, that's if it's still floating around.

you have a hardware problem so I don't think they care. If it was rooted and say your phone couldn't connect to the cell network, they won't replace it.

Could you elaborate on this please? I recently tried to unroot my phone to OEM from JF-1.51:
1. Flashed original SPL.
2. Loaded Dreaimg.img
3. Updated from RC29 to 30.
4. Updated from RC30 to 33.

The OTA came the next day with firmware 1.6, but when it reboots, it gets stuck in an endless force-close of com.phone.android (there's no "wait" option...just force-close). I downgraded back to RC29, and it works just fine again.

Some information, in case it's important:
Model Number T-Mobile G1
Firmware 1.0
Baseband 62.33.20.08H_1.22.12.29
Kernel 2.6.26-01843-gfea26b0
Build kila-user 1.0 TC4-RC29 115247
Bootloader info:
drea100
pvt 32b
hboot-0.95.0000
cpld-4 radio-1.22.12.29

One thing about the bootloader that I can't explain: When I start in the bootloader (Camera+Power), there is a message at the top that says E:can't open /cache/recovery/command, and I'm getting the white line with 'Serial0'.

So I guess I have 2 questions:
1. Do you see anything I've done wrong?
2. Will T-Mobile be able to tell that I rooted, and will they care?

thanks in advance!
