Hey

Im in an early stage of my application, having done the BARB test and that preliminary stuff: and am now onto the initial medical records assessment phase, before being sent to selection.
Although I have NOT yet submitted my medical and opticians files officially, I HAVE been told my eyesight is good enough (i took my completed sheet in to my AFCO, who faxed it through). I cannot hand my medical form in (or at least, there is no point in doing so) until my latest appointment is completed. At the end of May, I have a referral to a certain hospital (referred from my GP) about some sleep problems i have, and I need to get this concluded for my medical forms to be complete.
I am obviously currently unsure of the name of said problem, or even if anything conclusive will arise in terms of diagnosis, but heres the lowdown - Occasionally, maybe once or twice a month at most - I have episodes of disturbed sleep similar to what happens to people with night terrors, possibly actually IS night terrors. I seem to wake partially, with a conciousness of something occurring (without said thing actually occurring). I.e, I wake up partially (i do not remember these happening well at all, and if i do, only patchily) and say, slam on the lights and look up and down the ceiling for a non existant spider. Then go back to sleep as though nothing has happened. On another occasion it could be me waking, believing a burglar is in the hall, before just returning to bed and going to sleep shortly after. I am usually not concious at all when this is occurring, though sometimes I am more concious than other times, and can reason with myself and not get out of bed at all.
Thing is, night terrors are characteristed by extreme fear, I dont get the extreme fear bit. Usually it involves fear, but only on rare ocassions have I ever been screaming or absolutely petrified. People with 'Pavor Nocturnus' normally get it much more regularly than me, and are either young children, or people who have been through extremely traumatic situations, like rape. I do not fall under either category.
So assuming this is 'pavor nocturnus', could it stop me from being allowed to join the British army? Assuming it is NOT 'p-n', could it still preclude me from entry?
If its any difference, im joining (attempting to, i understand high standards are in order) the RLC as an ammo-tech, rather than a more combat designated role, like infantry.
Cheers, tried to give as much detail as poss +10 guaranteed
