For a long time I knew about my account that had about $600. On my fafsa and EOP application I put that I have $600 for savings so I'm waiting to hear from a college to see how much I get from financial aid. I just found out this week I had an account put away by some family members that is about $5,000. However it is still a custodian account and we are waiting to put it in a checking account in a few weeks. Will they accuse me of lying or something?
Can this hurt my financial aid?
