This guy felt down in our smoking area which he was not in seriously hurt and he tried to get me and my partner to paid him cash because of this accident but we refused now he is trying to sue us by having lawyer contact us. We would of pay for his medical if he gone to hospital but we felt like he is doing this because of he wants money therefor My questions are:
1. Can this guy really sue us?
2. Should I get a lawyer or should I call back his to lawyer?
3. Where can we get a good lawyer in seattle, WA area?

We just took over the restaurant when this happen so we are not quite sure if he has any case against us.

Thank you,

Tell him to go ahead and sue you. He made a HUGE MISTAKE by asking for a cash settlement. You can use that against him in a court of law. Just explain that he was basically trying to "shake you down" for some money.

If I were you, I would also contact the local police and file a police report AGAINST the man. Explain to the officers that you don't think he actually slipped and fell, but merely pretended to do so in order to extort cash money from you on the premises. Chances are, the police will run his name through their database and determine if he is a con man. If he has any sort of criminal record at all, that too will weigh against him. At that point, you can even tell his attorney that you will try to get the attorney disbarred for taking part in an extortion scheme.
