Can this go wrong?

I smoke 1-2 cigarettes per day usually in the evenings. Can it damage my health? I mean can i get a lung cancer or something...? Maybe nothing will happen because of that low amount of cigarettes i smoke per day?
I'm 18, male and i've been smoking for 2 months.

Any amount of smoking can damage your health. I guarantee if you continue to smoke you will start smoking more because it's an addiction. Since it's been such a short time and you smoke so little it should be very easy for you to quit. Besides, you stink when you smoke. The odor gets all over your clothes, hair, etc. I wish you well.

Well, i don't spend much money on it.. like 8-12 bucks a month.. Well it's still money though.

Dang.. i will try not to smoke anymore

It seems an unnecessary health risk.

Besides the odds of you becoming addicted to nicotine in the next few months are astronomical. And that's if you aren't addicted already, nicotine can change your brain chemistry from the first puff. Once addicted you'll need more and more cigarettes (I started with a couple of cigs a day at 16, by the time I quit at 31, I was smoking 2 to 3 packs a day) and it'll get harder and harder to quit.

No one can answer that. Any time you inhale or ingest harmful toxins it is a crap shoot. Everyone's body responds differently. You may be predisposed to Asthma, cancer or some other health care issue that would lay dormant until nicotine aggravated it. There is no answer to how much nicotine it would take. So but you have complete control over your health and the perils of nicotine and whatever other toxins they use to produce tobacco. Or you can smoke one or two or a couple packs a day and never develop any ills that you would attribute to smoking. So do what you want but I can tell you I was smoking 4 packs a DAY when i quit but I started out with just a couple a day in my 20's.

Can you honestly "afford" it? If the health risks aren't a big enough consequence, how about the actual dollars and cents? Think about how much money it costs to ruin your health, and becoming addicted to cigarettes! it's expensive....

quit now before its too late!!! i started smoking almost 2 years ago, its fun at first, but now its old, and yes it can damage your health...your immune system gets week so it takes less to get sick and your lungs basically deteriorate...and sometimes it might be hard to breathe...trust me 1 to 2 cigarettes a day will add up
