Can they repo a car that has no lean on the title and is already sold to someone else?

I had a vehicle that I was under the impression that was paid off, turns out that it's not its been three months with no phone calls bills or letters about the 410.00 that I supposedly still owe. They now are saying they will pick the car up if I don't pay it all now. The problem is that I have sold the car but they found out who bought it. Is it legal for this car to be repoed?
THE CAR HAS A CLEAR TITLE WITH NO LEIN!!!
