Can the stars we see in the sky have planets around them like ours? If so,

We can detect planets around some stars. Seeing the planets is a different issue.

I would guess we can't see distant planets because our telescopes are not powerful enough (don't resolve such small objects at such great distances) or because the light from the star outshines any light from the planets.
