Can the keyboard for texting on the samsung wave be changed so its not QWERTY?

Everybody sure is different. I've found texting and e-mailing way faster with a qwerty keyboard.
I can't see how a phone built with a querty keyboard can have the keyboard changed to one you like. It is not just the basic task of physically changing the keyboard - it is changing the entire phone configuration to be compatible with a normal keypad. Virtually rebuilding the phone

I'm looking for a new phone and really like the look of the new samsung wave. The one thing thats putting me off a little at the moment is the QWERTY keyboard for texting. I really don't like them! At the carphone warehouse they told me it can probably be changed, but the bloke didn't seem to sure to be honest, think he may just have been saying that to sell it to me!! So, anyone know if the keyboard can be changed so that it is like a normal keypad? (I like the one on my nice old fashioned phone! lol)
Thanks!
