Can the fish make an aquarium cloudy?

where are they at? a tank or pond bigger then 35 gallons! and when you added your fish the bacteria grew alot so it created a bloom or the couldiness, im thinking they didn't die of this because this never harms your fish at all, i think it was your stress and the way ou handled things, did you add any dechlorinated what? or did you just awater? was it warm or cold? im being realistic....please don't think im being rude, cause thats not the impression i want to make at all!
 
what size was the tank they were in?? if it was a newer tank you put them into your water may have just been cloudy because of it being a new tank, most tanks do that because they are trying to build the good bacteria for the tank to survive. putting 2 kois in it may have also caused the ammonia to spike and sometimes that causes cloudy water which is probably why the fish died. i would get your water tested just ot be sur and keep in mind that comet goldfish can grow to be about a foot so to house 4 you need close to a 100 gallon tank!! Koi fish can get 3-4 feet long and don't live in household fish tanks very well. they are more of a pond fish.
 
I got two coy (koi) fish and they were really pretty fish. Kind of expensive. Anyhow, I put them in my aquarium and it clouded up after a couple of days. I couldn't get it clear no matter what I did.One of the fish died and the other one did about 12 hours later. Every time I would change the water it would cloud up. I was not over feeding. I was just wondering if it could have been the fish themselves. Now I have four 29 cent gold fish and have had them for a week and the water is super clear. What was the problem?

It is normal and to be expected for a new aquarium to become cloudy. It's called a bacterial cloud. It's important for you to understand that adding fish immediately after setting up the tank is a bad idea, obviously, because fish deaths are the result. A new aquarium is biologically dead, and cannot break down fish waste, so the waste builds up and poisons the fish.
By now after sacrificing numerous fish your tank has probably cycled. You should have performed a fishless cycle. What size tank do you have?

Four common/comet goldfish should have about 115 gallons with heavy filtration- basically they also belong in ponds.
Koi should be in ponds of at least 1000 gallons.
 
ok well if you dont let a fish tank sit before you put the fish in it. it could be a problem.when you get a fish tank you should condiction it it was cloudy because it was going through a cycle every new fish tank goes through after this part of the cycle the tank will clear up if you every get a new fish tank again let it sit for awhile your fish died because of the cycle i had the same problem i hope this helps you good look with your four gold fish
