Is the lower ball joint riveted or bolted in place? Or is it pressed in like the upper ball joint?
 
No. You have to at least pop the lower ball joint to pull the steering knuckle out far enough to get the outer axle joint out of the hub.
Hey Dan, sounds like you're taking apart the front end.
