travelling from US to Chennai(Ind)? I am travelling from New York to Chennai(India). I am planning to carry many electronics with me(3 pairs of cordless phone, 2 cameras, 1 laptop, 1 handycam). Will I be caught at the customs? Will I be asked to pay money for this? If so how much? Or will they seize things from me? Can I keep all these in my cabin baggage? Also I would like to know how much money can a person on dependant visa carry in hand while travelling from US to India?
I heard that putting costly things like camera and camcorder in the check in baggage would not be safe as these days most of the bags are getting lost. What is ur view on this? Can some one who has travelled or travels often tell me about this. Thank You.
