...put on my very dry face? I was diagnosed with Celiac's Disease about 4 months ago and I think my facial problems are related to this auto-immune disorder. I had dry facial skin before that, but since going gluten free, my face feels like sandpaper. I can't wearing make-up bc it is so dry and just becomes more apparent after applying make-up. It always feels like I need to exfoliate but doing so does no good bc it feels the exact same way again within a day and that is not the problem anyway bc when I bath I've noticed a lot of skin peels off on its own. I am using gluten free products only. If I put anything else on my face, it immediately turns red and feels like I have been literally burnt - burning, stinging. I have tried a whole host of natural remedies, olive oil, vitamins A, E, C, fish oil, milk, honey, almond oil, but nothing works to soften my skin. It is as though each new layer uncovered immediately dies and is slaved off. I need help!
I can apply moisturizer all day long, but as soon as the moisturizer is absorbed, it feels the same. I used to have pretty much the same condition on my lower legs and that went away after going gluten free, except it didn't go away, it just relocated to my face.
