Can someone try out my app for me please?

I just created a new version of Trapster for TMobile BB. It should work on the 8800 and any BB with GPS (not Pearl/Curve). It's at www.trapster.com/tmt41.jad You will need to create an account at Trapster.com using IE, Firefox, etc. first, or just use this test account when the mobile client prompts you (this won't work on Web site): uname tmtest, passwd tmtest

BTW I learned of this forum from a user who posted here:

http://blackberryforums.rabroad.com/28459-have_you_guys_seen_trapster.html

and some folks reported problems with TMobile in response - hence why I'm posting here now that I think I've got it fixed.

Very much appreciate the help. Thanks.

According to what I just read, yes, the Java LocationProvider() class should look for Bluetooth devices if there is no native GPS. In order to test that, I would need to get a BlackBerry that does *not* have GPS, and the puck -- man this can get expensive!

If you have one can you try it for me?

Sorry if my request offended you. The reason I asked for help - I have an 8800 (and a Windows Mobile and a Nokia N95 ... only got the contract discount on BB -- that's about $1200 so far). I would need to purchase a BlackBerry with no GPS (Pearl, Curve) and also a GPS puck to test external GPS. I would also need to do the same for each and every type of handset from every carrier ... Pretty significant investment for a free software service like this. I tried DeviceAnywhere, but their service does not reliably support GPS (if you get lucky you are connected to a handset that is near a window - about 1/2 of them are in the basement).

... so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

It should, but I have not personally tried it. If you try it and there are issues, please let me know and I'll try to fix it.

Here is the link that should work with TMobile BB:
