I'm aware that there are services that allow you to track a person's location through their cell phone, but you need the person's permission OR you have to at least have access to their phone long enough to install the software without them knowing. My question is: Is it possible for just a normal person (NOT the phone carrier or 911 dispatcher) to track my location from a text message or a phone call? Is my cell phone making my location visible to ANYONE who wishes to access it? Assuming of course, that my phone has not been compromised in any way and no GPS or other tracking devices have been placed on my phone.
I know phone companies can, but can any "regular" person just zero in on my location?
