Can someone tell me why when hiding your "headline" it will still appear?

when i hide all my headline age, last login, location..etc. it wont appear on my profile, but when my profile its set as private on the default u can see it... can someone please tell me why it only appears on private default but not on my page?? does anyone knows the BEST code so it wont appear on both places please!!!!!
