Can someone tell me if the tank and ignition key for a 1998 kawasaki zx11 are the same?

I need a key made for the bike but would like to just take the tank key bit out and take it to the locksmith if they are the same key it would then work for the ignition, and no i cant take out the ignition at least i dont want to its hard to get to.

For convenience sake, the key remains the same. Unless it has been changed at a later date. Even when locks are changed, they all have to be altered to use the same key. Hope this is clear now.

YES, all the locks on the original bike use only 1 key, ignition, gas cap and helmet lock.
