This is my last hope. For over 16 months I have been dealing with chronic left flank and side pain. Sometimes it moves around to the abdomen, but for the most part it's on the side and back. I have been to Primary Care Doctor, Gastroenterologist, Kidney Specialist, Urologist, Gynecologist and even a Chiropractor. Colonoscopy-normal. Everything Gastric related-normal. I've even been on medications that prevent colon spasms, to no avail and also some medication that helps regulate the function of the colon. Once again, these medicines don't work. All my female organs-normal. Nothing out of alignment for a chiropractor. The only real constant here is the fact that I have several kidney stones in both right and left kidneys. In addition, my left kidney is scarred from lots of infections as a child. My stones are not blocking, according to all x-rays I've had done, and doctors say just having stones does not cause pain, only the passing of them. My pain is real. It is like a stabbing and/or pulsating pain. Sometimes I can compare it to contractions. Sometimes it lasts for hours, all day, or about 30-45 mins. But one things for sure, it happens at least 5 out of 7 days in a week. I can't seem to find any doctor who knows what is wrong or what to do. It is getting very frustrating and I am so tired of being in pain. I hate to even be excited about a day I wake up pain free, because I know it's coming. When looking up Renal Colic, the description of pain describes exactly how I feel most of the time. But the Kidney specialist didn't seem to budge when I mentioned it. I'm at a loss as to what to do or what direction to go in. Maybe it's not even kidney related, I have no idea. If ANYONE out there has ANY suggestions, please let me kow. Thanks.
