Can someone please help me with my Panasonic Digital Camcorder that is not

working properly? It is Model No. PV-GS15, and every time I turn it on, the screen goes blue and has a message that says "push the reset switch." I push it, but it doesn't work! The blue screen and message comes back instantly. I tried contacting Panasonic, but they want me to send it in. I really need to use it this week, so I'm hoping I can fix it myself. Any ideas? Thanks!
 
The first thing you should try is to clean the heads. With tape based cameras, many of the playback/record problems, are related to this.

head cleaners are not expensive, just remember to only use it for 10 seconds at a time checking it after the clean, and no more than 3 times.

If you are using older tapes it may be time to invest in a couple of new ones.
