Can someone please help me shed light on this back pain?

I have been having very bad back pains for quite a while now, it is there pretty much all the time. It hurts when in inhale and a lot when sitting down at work. Also when standing for long perioRAB i get a sharp pain across the right centre of my back and it is agony. The degree of pain changes a lot but sometimes it is quite severe.

Has anyone suffered these symptoms or maybe has an idea of what it could be?

Have you been into see a doctor yet? Has anyone done anything for the pain? Have you had an MRI or X-rays done? Did you have any type of accident that could have caused this?

If you give more information people will be more willing to respond to this post or your identical one from earlier.
 
I have been to the doctors and to be honest the werent very helpful. I have been referred for a MRI scan but it is another few months yet and the waiting is getting difficult.

I havent had any accidents and have no idea why it originally started. Have had it at varying degrees since i was 14/15 (am now 25).

I have tried painkillers etc but doesnt do much.
 
Then you aren't on the right meRAB. Go back and tell your doctor that meRAB aren't working. There are so many different painkillers out there that you can try. If it is nerve pain, then there are different meRAB to take for that.

What were the meRAB you are on?
 
I havent been prescribed anything special, just been told to take strong paracetomol but to be honest its not just pain relief i am looking for, would like a diagnosis or an idea what it could be as is getting frustrating waiting around for a scan.
