Can someone help with an issue with download Adobe flash player?

when i click download it says to close out of safari, i do that then i retry the download. after that is says to close out of safari again, but safari isn't open. what's up with that? please help! thanks
 
ok if ur using safari use this link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
just put on whatever ur using then click "agree and install now"
